The furin is a traditional Japanese wind chime, a symbol of summer, whose refreshing sound soothes hot and humid days. This blown glass furin, handmade and hand-painted in Japan, is designed with increased thickness at the mouth, enriching its timbre and sound. Its slight wavy pattern inside the glass creates a beautiful diffused light effect.
The decorative motifs of this furin are inspired by sunflowers, symbols of summer, sun, and joy. Traditionally, a poem or wish can be inscribed on the paper vane (tansatsu) to be carried by the wind; this can be replaced if it gets damaged over time.
Ideal for bringing a touch of freshness and poetry to an interior or terrace during the summer.
